PeaceHealth is investing nearly $200 million to provide improved access to care and services in Lane County, including:
- Emergency Department Growth: $25 million investments will help us meet growing demand, including:
- $6 million renovation/expansion
- 20 new care spaces
- 8 new observation unit beds
- 27 new nursing staff
200+ additional caregiver hours per day
- Medical Center Upgrades: Added 19 new patient beds to RiverBend, and 31 more once the new Inpatient Rehab Facility opens; new CT scanner and remodeled CT suite at Cottage Grove, expanding imaging services locally; better cancer treatment with the newest Gamma Knife® radiosurgery system
- Increased Service Line Capabilities: Valley River Pediatric Priority Care Clinic, the only urgent care in the Eugene/Springfield area just for kids; Expanded Ear, Nose & Throat services, including surgeries and pediatric care, at Peace Harbor; added six pulmonary providers when the Oregon Lung Specialist joined PeaceHealth Medical Group.
LifePoint Health Partnership
A $76 million investment to build a 42-bed inpatient rehab facility in partnership with Lifepoint Health. The hospital in Springfield will also serve patients recovering from strokes, neurological disease and other serious injuries. It will open in August, replacing and tripling the size of the current inpatient rehabilitation unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, freeing up needed beds at the hospital.
Timber Springs Behavioral Health
PeaceHealth is making an $82 million investment to build Timber Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, with larger inpatient capacity, expanded services for teens and seniors, and intensive outpatient treatment.
