PeaceHealth Partners with Willamalane to Support Community Health and Wellness
Springfield, ORE. – PeaceHealth is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Willamalane Fitness Center at the Bob Keefer Center, continuing its strong commitment to preventive health and community well-being across Lane County.
This new partnership has already helped fund the purchase of updated strength training equipment, with additional investments planned to expand and enhance the center’s exercise offerings in the years ahead. Through this support, PeaceHealth and Willamalane are working together to make fitness more accessible and inclusive for all.
“At Willamalane, our vision is to create a healthy, active community where everyone belongs,” says Danielle Thompson, Fundraising & Development Manager at Willamalane Park & Recreation District. “PeaceHealth’s continued investment in health and wellness is just one reason why we are so excited to partner in hopes of turning that vision into a reality.”
The Willamalane Fitness Center, sponsored by PeaceHealth, is located inside the Bob Keefer Center in Springfield and serves as a vital hub for strength training, group fitness, and personal wellness. Community members can learn more—including hours of operation and services—on Willamalane’s website.
This sponsorship builds on PeaceHealth’s broader efforts to promote long-term health across Lane County. In 2023, PeaceHealth played a key role in supporting the completion of the new Eugene Family YMCA campus, further expanding access to fitness, wellness, and youth programs in the region.
About PeaceHealth: PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Wash., is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. PeaceHealth has approximately 16,000 caregivers, a medical group practice with more than 1,100 providers and nine medical centers serving both urban and rural communities throughout the Northwest. In 1890, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded what has become PeaceHealth. The Sisters shared expertise and transferred wisdom from one medical center to another, always finding the best way to serve the unmet need for healthcare in their communities. Today, PeaceHealth is the legacy of the founding Sisters and continues with a spirit of respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice in fulfilling its Mission.
