VANCOUVER, Wash. – On Jan. 17, as a nation and community, we will celebrate the legacy of the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His life’s work continues to impact and transform the world we live in today. As we reflect on his many contributions, we are inspired by his profound words:

During this presentation, in alignment with this year’s King Center theme, “Shifting Priorities to Create the Beloved Community, April Allen, PeaceHealth’s system director of internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, will join Dr. Moreland-Capuia, a globally-recognized expert in trauma-informed systems change, to discuss healthcare inequalities and how health systems can be trauma-informed and culturally responsive with change. They will delve into Dr. King’s legacy and how we can all be a part of building the “Beloved Community” by providing equitable and inclusive care.
We hope you can attend this special event, as we join together to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King, build community and learn more about how we can all use our voices, roles and platforms to stand up for each other and ensure equity and inclusion for all.
