PeaceHealth names vice president of operations at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend

Elva Sipin is joining PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend as vice president of operations (VPO). Her first day at PeaceHealth will be June 24, 2019. 
 
In her role, Sipin will provide operational oversight at RiverBend to ensure we continue meeting the needs of caregivers and patients on this campus. This is a new role for RiverBend that is designed to provide campus oversight.

“Elva comes to us from Providence St. Joseph Health in Southern California where she most recently served as executive director of post-acute services,” said Mary Kingston, chief executive, PeaceHealth Oregon. “She was instrumental in creating a culture of high caregiver engagement through open communication and process improvement initiatives.” 

In her 18-year career, Sipin has achieved and sustained US News and World Report High Performing and Best Nursing Home five years in a row and was instrumental in achieving Magnet designation for Hospital Distinct Skilled Nursing Facility.

“As a mission and servant leader, PeaceHealth’s leadership model of serving with humility, courage, authenticity and spirit resonated with my heart,” Sipin said. “I am so excited to join the PeaceHealth family!”

Sipin earned her master’s degree in management with an emphasis in healthcare from the University of Redlands in California.
