Scott Foster, MD, named PeaceHealth Medical Group Chief Executive

VANCOUVER, Wash. – PeaceHealth announced that Scott Foster, MD, has been named chief executive for PeaceHealth Medical Group.

Foster joined PeaceHealth in 2014 as the system medical director for Specialty Care and served in a variety of leadership roles over the past eight years. Foster has demonstrated his leadership skills as the interim chief executive for the medical group over the past several months, while simultaneously leading growth in PeaceHealth’s service lines and clinically integrated network, enabling our ability to respond to the call to create value for the patients and communities we serve.

Born and raised in the UK, Foster attended medical school in Glasgow, Scotland. After initially starting a surgical residency, he switched career focus to emergency medicine, which he practiced in Scotland and New Zealand. After earning his master’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Policy and Administration, from Oregon State University, Foster served in multiple director and executive positions with Providence Health & Services in Oregon prior to joining PeaceHealth.

Foster is based at PeaceHealth’s system office in Vancouver, Washington.
