COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. --PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Community Medical Center recently was recognized nationally for providing outstanding patient care by Premier Inc., a leading healthcare improvement company.

PeaceHealth Cottage Grove was recognized as a finalist for the QUEST® Award for High-Value Healthcare for 2019 at Premier’s annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition on June 18 in Nashville.  It is the fourth straight year Cottage Grove has received these honors from Premier.

QUEST is a national quality improvement collaborative of about 250 hospitals within Premier, an alliance of more than 4,000 U.S. hospitals and health systems and 165,000 additional providers.

Cottage Grove was one of 15 hospitals nationwide—and the only one in Oregon—to be a finalist for the High-Value Healthcare Award, which recognizes top performance in any four of the five areas of patient care measured by the QUEST collaborative. They include:
•    Patient safety
•    Effective care and coordination
•    Patient and family experience
•    Prevention and treatment for leading causes of mortality
•    Affordability
“This recognition speaks to our commitment to consistently deliver the best care experience to the patients we are privileged to serve,” said Tim Herrmann, Cottage Grove chief administrative officer. “We’re proud to be named a finalist of this QUEST Award as we continue on a path to improve patient outcomes and our community’s health.”
Also, for the fifth straight year, Cottage Grove received a Premier Supply Chain Excellence Award for superior supply expense performance. It was one of 13 winners nationwide.

“QUEST facilities are setting new standards of clinical excellence nationwide,” said Seth Edwards, Premier’s vice president of engagement and delivery. “Together, they have worked to outperform in healthcare. Premier congratulates the Cottage Grove team for their fantastic achievements.”
