Drew Murray, MD, joined the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center team of providers in July 2021. Dr. Murray’s practice areas include general oncology and hematology. He joins us with experience in an academic setting and involvement in clinical trials across all cancer types. “I value all opportunities for clinical trial involvement,” he shared. Dr. Murray’s specific interests extend to bladder, renal, prostate, lung, head and neck, melanoma, colon, liver and breast cancers and malignant hematology. In addition to his work on clinical trials, Dr. Murray has researched socioeconomic disparities in cancer populations and associated outcomes. “My philosophy is to offer the most advanced and current treatment options available while also ensuring comprehensive care is being provided to each patient, including emotional support, symptom management, and shared decision making with patients and families,” he said. Bellingham is the perfect place for Dr. Murray to pursue his hobbies of hiking, skiing, snowboarding and ocean-going. When he’s not outside adventuring, you may find him practicing his woodworking. He and his significant other, Chelsea, share a dog, Biggs.
