Zane Carey, PA-C, is a physician assistant in Bellingham.

Zane, who previously worked in PeaceHealth’s Vascular Surgery Department in Bellingham,  earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Oregon Health & Science University. He also holds degrees in exercise science and ceramics. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

“I am excited to partner with my patients to uncover what is most meaningful to them and find creative ways for our healthcare team to move them toward their purpose,” says Zane about his approach to medicine. Previously, he worked as an exercise physiologist in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, as an emergency room technician and as a certified nursing assistant. He also has a variety of volunteer experience, including mentoring high school and middle school students in health sciences, coaching soccer, teaching snowboarding and providing wound care and meals for kids in Manila, the Philippines.

Outside of work, Zane says he’s often humbled by the great outdoors, and enjoys surfing, snowboarding, biking and trail running. He also likes working on creative projects like sewing, knitting and building with clay.
