Yamac Gungor, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist. He has special interests in preventive medicine, cardiac imaging, diagnoses and treatment of coronary artery disease and heart failure, heart rhythm abnormalities and implantable cardiac devices. Dr. Gungor earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, followed by an internal medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His advanced fellowship training in cardiovascular disease was completed at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He is dedicated to helping patients understand and manage cardiovascular diseases while providing up-to-date, evidence-based medical care. In his free time, Dr. Gungor enjoys windsurfing, chess, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and three children.
