Rohit Singh, MD is a pathologist at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine degree at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India, then completed his residency in medical microbiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. Dr. Singh came to the United States in 2011 to complete a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Rush University Medical School in Chicago, followed by a fellowship in Hematopathology at William Beaumont Health system in Royal Oak, Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Singh has completed a Fellowship in Medical Microbiology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Singh is triple board certified by the American Board of Pathology for Microbiology, Hematology, and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. In his daily work Dr. Singh examines samples of body tissues for the presence of virus, bacteria, cancers, and many other foreign or infectious agents, along with conducting laboratory testing to help determine accurate diagnoses. Dr. Singh specializes in hemotology - the study of disease, illness, and dysfunction of the blood; and in medical microbiology - the study of infectious organisms and antibiotic susceptibilities. Dr. Singh’s medical studies and practice have given him the opportunity to live in and experience a broad spectrum of countries, cultures and climates, and says the Pacific Northwest is his favorite thanks to its natural beauty, friendliness, and the many wonderful restaurants offering delicious international cuisine.
