We welcomed Paul Homer, MD, to the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Pediatric Hospitalist team of providers in 2020 then moved into the PeaceHealth Cordata Clinic in 2023. He came to PeaceHealth from Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he completed his pediatric residency and stayed another year as a resident executive. In 2019 he was awarded the Family Choice Award: Family-Centered Care Resident Award by Seattle Children’s Family Advisory Council for his excellent support, respect and partnership with his patients and their families. Dr. Homer is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Homer has a passion for health equity and health justice and has been very involved in this work in his community and through his employers. He has special interests in anti-racism in medicine, decreasing provider implicit bias in the clinical setting, and care for Latino, migrant, and farm working communities.
“I am in medicine to partner with families to help them and their children lead healthy lives no matter what situation or season of life they may be in" he said. Dr. Homer is married with three children. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, sports, bicycling, talking religion, and exploring the outdoors with his family. He considers himself a novice fisherman and is a sports enthusiast for the University of Washington Huskies.”
