Michael Brage, MD, is a surgeon with the PeaceHealth orthopedics and sports medicine clinics in Bellingham and Lynden. He specializes in conditions of the foot and ankle, including ankle replacements, arthroplasty and arthritis.

Dr. Brage received his medical training at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois, followed by his orthopedic residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, also in Chicago. He completed a foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also later served as an associate professor for 14 years, and was awarded Chief Resident’s Teaching Awards multiple times. Before joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Brage practiced in Montana, California and Illinois.

Dr. Brage has contributed regularly to peer-reviewed research articles and scientific meetings, and he lectures nationally on aspects of ankle replacement, complications and treatment strategies.
