Dr. Trojan is a heart failure specialist at Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute. He leads the advanced heart failure and electrical device therapy programs at PeaceHealth. Dr. Trojan focuses on complex cases. He specializes in heart transplants and implanting mechanical heart devices. He is one of only a few doctors in the Willamette Valley with this type of expertise. He is board certified in internal medicine, heart disease, and advanced heart failure and transplant. This means he meets high standards for heart care in general, and heart failure in particular. Dr. Trojan trained at top medical centers such as the University of Virginia, the University of Minnesota and Emory University. His research focuses on improving heart failure treatment. He leads multiple research studies, testing new devices that may benefit future patients. Outside of work, he likes to spend time with family, bicycle, ski and hike. He is an avid cyclist and is known for his year-round bicycle commuting habit.
