Matthew Sears, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. He is especially interested in supporting women’s and children’s health.

Dr. Sears cares for expectant moms (and their babies) during pregnancy, delivery and beyond. He sees children, men, women and transgender patients of all ages in the clinic. He has expertise in contraceptive care and is skilled in treating skin conditions, diabetes and blood pressure. Dr. Sears also provides palliative care.

He believes that everyone’s health situation is unique.

“There is no one-size-fits-all in medicine,” Dr. Sears shares. “It’s my goal to get to know people well enough to offer guidance that fits them best.”

Dr. Sears completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. He worked in a free clinic for sexually transmitted diseases and a needle exchange clinic. He has also provided primary care medicine in the rainforests of Central America.

Dr. Sears earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Penn. He completed premedical training at Johns Hopkins University and worked in their Sickle Cell Center in Baltimore, Md.

In his free time, Dr. Sears enjoys camping, making pizza, working on his car and spending time with his dog.
