Kathleen "Kat" Piacentino, FNP-BC, ARNP, is a certified family and advance practice nurse practitioner with the Sedro-Woolley Family Medicine Clinic. She specializes in family and pediatric medicine and has experience in acute and emergency care and chronic disease management.

Kat serves as the primary clinician at the Woolley Wellness Center, a school-based clinic serving Sedro-Woolley and State Street high school students and district staff.

She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, Mass., and an Associate Degree in Nursing from the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California.

Her previous experience includes conducting virtual health risk assessments and developing treatment plans for underserved patients for Medigence Health in Plano, Texas. She has also worked as an adjunct clinical faculty advisor at the Georgetown University School of Nursing in Washington, D.C.

When describing her philosophy of care, Kate shared, "My goal is to provide optimal care to my patients and community. To obtain those goals, I focus on strong communication, collaboration, empathy and a lifelong drive to learning and being open to new discoveries."

In her free time, Kat enjoys spending time with family and friends, learning new languages, exercise, travel and volunteering. She currently volunteers as a family nurse practitioner at Safe Harbor Free Clinic in Stanwood, where she sees same-day patients and runs the Women's Clinic every other month.
