Karin Lloyd, PhD, is a clinical psychologist with a special interest in health psychology. She works with individuals of all ages. Dr. Lloyd earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from University of Alaska in Anchorage, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical and Community Psychology. She completed her internship in Psychology at The Alaska Psychiatric Institute and a Fellowship in Child Development and Infant Mental Health from University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado. “I believe human beings have an immense capacity to heal when supported with a safe and compassionate space,” shares Dr. Lloyd. “I also believe in treating the whole person and the importance of the connection between mind, body and spirit.” An Alaska native, Dr. Lloyd loves hiking, camping, and spending time by the ocean. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have a son and a “goofy” golden retriever. While family time brings her the most joy, she shares that yoga, meditation and reading also keep her grounded.
