Jason Vang-Erickson, FNP, has joined the staff at the Pleasant Hill Primary Care Clinic. He earned his bachelor of science in nursing from Metro State University, and his family nurse practitioner certification from Briar Cliff University. He followed that with a one-year internship with Thrive AP. He brings more than 16 years of nursing experience to his current role, with the past six years focused on advanced practice. His background includes nursing care in neurology, intensive care, and psychiatry. For advanced practice, his experience encompasses primary care, rural healthcare and advanced practice cardiology. His philosophy of care centers on patient-focused and holistic healthcare, including preventative care, health promotion and functional medicine. “I believe in discussing all aspects of a person’s life to achieve overall wellness,” he said. He speaks English and Hmong. When not at work you can find him spending time with his significant other, family, friends, and he enjoys cooking, live music, hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling and volunteering.
