Japjot “Jay” Grewal, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with a focus on chronic disease management, routine health maintenance supporting nutrition and lifestyle and weight loss management. Dr. Grewal completed a transitional year residency in medicine, surgery and several subspecialties at Advent Health Care in Rome, GA. He then went on to complete his family medicine residency in the Hamilton Health Care System in Dalton, GA. Dr. Grewal’s diverse training has equipped him to be a well-rounded family medicine provider caring for both simple and complex health concerns. He shared, “I employ a patient-centered approach by prioritizing the patient’s needs and values and focusing on the patient as a whole person, not simply a set of symptoms. While utilizing evidence-based research and guidelines to offer the most effective and appropriate care, I am also open to utilizing complementary holistic approaches to support whole-person care.” Dr. Grewal is originally from Surrey, BC, and his wife is from Bothell, WA. They both enjoy spending time with their two children, traveling, hiking, and dabbling in culinary experimentation.
