Evan Nelson, MD, is an Advanced Imaging Cardiologist who focuses on treating cardiovascular disease. With his imaging background, Dr. Nelson uses cutting-edge technology to visualize and treat the heart. Dr. Nelson earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin/Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Additionally, he completed two years of Advanced Cardiac Imaging training at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He is the only physician in Southwest Washington that reads cardiac MRI scans. Focusing on a person’s medical and personal needs is important to Dr. Nelson. “I do my best to adapt my approach and deliver care based on what is most beneficial to each patient.” Away from work, Dr. Nelson stays healthy and active, including be a part of the CrossFit community. He enjoys traveling to Europe and anywhere tropical. Additionally, he loves music, concerts and trying out the area’s great restaurants.
