Devyn Nixon, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC, DVNP-BC, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiology team of providers in October 2021. Devyn comes to PeaceHealth most recently from Skagit Regional Health, where she worked as a cardiac nurse practitioner. Starting her career in the medical field in 1999, Devyn has extensive knowledge and background in medical care. Devyn specializes in diagnosing and developing treatment plans for acute, complex and chronic cardiac concerns. Devyn is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Devyn has long been a resident of Washington state. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Washington, in Bothell, Washington, and her Master of Science in nursing from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Devyn is also a conference speaker and guest lecturer for community colleges and universities, speaking about social justice in healthcare, healthcare policy and the uniqueness of African American lineage. Devyn shared, “I talk about provider-patient human connection, lived experiences with healthcare in the Black community.” She is passionate about health literacy, health equity and social justice.
Devyn also shares her time and knowledge with local community outreach programs and is a vocalist at her local church.
