Education

Dr. DeHaas earned a bachelor’s in chemistry and economics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He attended medical school at Hahnemann University College of Medicine in Philadelphila, Pennsylvania. At the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he completed his general surgery residency, then received special training in colorectal, general and vascular surgery at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester, England.

Certified by The American Board of Surgery, Dr. DeHaas has served on the PeaceHealth Community Board for many years. He’s also the NSQIP surgeon champion and the leader of the PeaceHealth System Surgical Collaborative.
