Cindy Rasavage, NP, has joined the family practice staff at the Santa Clara Clinic.

Rasavage earned her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her master of nursing from Gonzaga University. She also completed the University of Minneapolis’s Ostomy and Continence Education Program and the Norton School of Lymphology’s Edema Solutions for Wound Specialist Training Program.

She most recently worked as a patient care coordinator for Sacred Heart Home Health and Hospice, focusing on wound and ostomy care, and has worked in healthcare since becoming a nurse in 1996.

Her interest in the human body led her to her a career in healthcare. Personal experiences in advocating for family members drove her to better understand how to manage health care in a way that best meets the needs of patients.

“A lot about my personal experiences has made me so passionate about fighting for my patients and resources available to them,” she said.

She incorporates her patients’ mind, body and spirit into her philosophy of care.

“They are all interconnected,” she said, adding that in her previous roles she sharpened her skills at delving with her patients into their medical histories in helping develop treatment plans, all of which serve her well in her current position.

She has three adult children, and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening, as well as physical fitness, traveling and baking.
