Amber Heise, MD, FAAP, has joined the pediatrics clinic at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. She most recently worked at Community Health Centers of Utah as pediatrician and lead clinician. She has spent her career working mostly with underserved populations. She received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed a pediatric residency at the University of Virginia and is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Heise speaks Spanish well and has worked extensively with Latin X populations in Utah. Heise added that she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a pediatrician: “I love the challenge of making a toddler enjoy an exam. I also love connecting with teens and valuing their input to their own health.”
