Aislinn Lewis, MD, has joined the staff of the trauma unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

Lewis is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in trauma surgery, acute care surgery and surgical critical care. She has a passion for delivering high-quality surgical care to underserved communities and improving surgical education.

She earned her doctor of medicine from the University of Washington. She went on to complete her general surgery residency at the University of Utah, gaining extensive experience in managing complex surgical cases across diverse patient populations. She then returned to the University of Washington for a fellowship at the Harborview Trauma Center, where she honed her expertise in high-acuity, intensive care unit medicine.

Lewis is committed to improving access to surgical services in marginalized and resource-limited settings. Her clinical interests include trauma resuscitation, surgical critical care and surgical education, with a strong emphasis on community outreach and injury prevention.

“As a trauma surgeon, I believe that every individual — regardless of their income, background or life circumstances — deserves access to timely, expert and compassionate care in their most vulnerable moments,” Lewis said. “I am dedicated to preventing future injuries through community engagement and advocacy, striving to build a more equitable and safer future for all.”

Outside of work, she said she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, playing soccer, cooking, reading and “being outside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.”
