About PeaceHealth AppleTree Marathon, Half and 5K

This "run through history" in Vancouver, Washington will take runners through unique historic sites including:

  • Fort Vancouver (a Hudson's Bay company trading post that began operations in 1824)
  • Officer's Row
  • the Army Barracks
  • Pearson Field Airport (Pearson Field is one of the oldest operating airfields in the U.S.)
  • The Old Apple Tree (the oldest in the western USA, planted in 1826)
  • The Grant House (President U.S. Grant was stationed right here from 1852-1854!)

The AppleTree marathon is a Boston Qualifier and is an excellent challenge for elite runners as well as first-timers. The half-marathon provides a popular option for runners who want to enjoy a great race on a great course.
