Dr. Bartynski was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Environmental Sciences and attended the Medical College of Wisconsin to study medicine. She loves all aspects of family medicine, with special interests in reproductive and women’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine, and preventative care. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and trivia, as well as hiking and golfing.

Abigail Calkins, DO

Dr. Calkins grew up in Keizer, Oregon, and attended college in Salem at Corban University, where she studied science and taught a biology lab. She graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest. She extended medical school by one year to complete a Predoctoral Teaching Fellowship in the Osteopathic Medicine department. Dr. Calkins is passionate about full-spectrum family medicine, the pediatric population, and women’s health. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with family and friends around the beautiful PNW and spending time with her rescue rabbit, Mr. Tumnus.

Dr. Chawla has grown up in and spent most of his life in Vancouver, WA. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Bio Physiology at the University of Washington in Seattle while coaching and performing with a competitive Indian Bhangra Dance team. He gained an appreciation for broad-spectrum family medicine throughout his pre-clinical volunteer experiences along with his clinical rotations throughout his time at Western University of Health Science’s College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest. His other interests include playing soccer and basketball, mixing music, and spending time with his family and their new puppy.

Dr. Katie Dalgamouni was born and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Chapman University in Southern California where she also played collegiate water polo. After moving to the Pacific Northwest for medical school at PNWU in Yakima, she knew she wanted to remain in Washington to practice medicine. She is passionate about full-spectrum family medicine with particular interests in sports medicine, preventative medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, bouldering, and camping with her dog Brandy. She also loves cooking and baking recipes from around the world.

Athena Konicki, MD

Dr. Konicki was raised in Temecula, California and studied physiological science at the University of California at Los Angeles. She learned from the resilient patients she met in the Bronx, New York while attending medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is passionate about full spectrum family medicine and hopes to start her own practice one day with a focus on lifestyle medicine and integrative medicine. She enjoys trail running, yoga, playing the piano, painting, reading, and writing.

Dr. Kotowski was born and raised in Ohio and studied Heath Sciences as part of the Urban Health Program at Cleveland State University. She is passionate about care for the underserved and full-spectrum family medicine, with a special interest in prenatal care, pediatrics, and addiction medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming in beautiful places, decorating cakes, and spending time with her family and one-eyed pug.

Issac Lichtenstein, MD

Dr. Isaac Lichtenstein is a native Vermonter, where he grew up in a lazy New England town of 700 people where his father was a family physician and geriatrician serving the surrounding communities. Growing up, Dr. Lichtenstein witnessed first-hand how wonderful and rewarding rural family medicine can be for providers and their communities. His professional career started as an ER nurse. He worked as a traveling nurse for 6 years, traveling coast-to-coast before deciding to advance his career. During medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine, he cofounded a biotechnology company and worked on developing a biosensor designed to empower patients and small healthcare businesses. While at GW, he also met the love of his life and future wife, Dr. Megan Fuerst whom is now a resident in OBGYN at OHSU. Dr. Lichtenstein is professionally interested in medical technology and its further integration into family medicine practice. His personal interests include being a connoisseur of excellent food/beverages, travel and outdoor adventuring with his 2-year-old Bernedoodle and wife. 

Shelby Van Leuven, MD

Dr. Van Leuven was born and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon, and studied Neuroscience while at Simmons University in Boston, MA. She went to medical school at Oregon Health and Science University where she had the opportunity to learn from full-spectrum family physicians, which influenced her passion for women’s health, mental health care, and sports medicine. In her free time, Dr. Van Leuven enjoys spending time with family, friends, her rescue pup named “Bonnie”, and exploring artistic outlets such as painting and creating jewelry.

Dr. Callahan received her Bachelor of Sciences in Biomedical Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. Having been born and raised in Portland, she was thrilled to return to the Pacific Northwest to work in early childhood intervention before attending medical school at OHSU. She is passionate about full-spectrum family medicine and has special interests in reproductive medicine, lactation, early-childhood development, and creating person-centered care plans. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the coast, gardening, cooking, and reading with her husband and toddler.

Dr. Sean Charczenko is originally from the PNW, he moved to Denver to attend Medical School at Rocky Vista University after graduating from Seattle Pacific University. He is excited to be home pursuing his passion for full-spectrum family medicine with additional interests in preventative medicine and digital healthcare. In his free time, Sean enjoys exploring nature, biking, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr. Chen was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Oregon State University and attended Rocky Vista University in Utah to study medicine. She is excited to continue her training near home, passionate about full-spectrum family medicine with special interests in preventative care and procedures. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and exploring nearby restaurants.

Dr. Chiou was born in Charlottesville, VA and lived in Taiwan and Nebraska before finally settling in Washington state. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology & Psychology at the University of Washington in Seattle and attended medical school at the Elson S Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. Dr. Chiou is passionate about full-spectrum family medicine, with particular interests in maternal and child health. In her free time, she enjoys baking, exploring new coffee shops, reading, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends..

Dr. Joke was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon and was a dedicated member of the Oregon Marching Band. She graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Lebanon, OR. During her studies at the University of Oregon, she discovered her passion for education and accessible healthcare through her various teaching opportunities and involvement with the Student Health Advisory Committee. She is interested in full spectrum family medicine and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, skiing, attending sporting events, and traveling.

Dr. Marin was born in Romania and grew up in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oregon. She attended medical school in Southern California and is excited to return home to continue her training. Dr. Marin is passionate about preventative care with particular interest in pediatrics and integrative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys camping, horseback riding, yoga, gardening, and home fermentation.

Dr. Rodgers was born in Grants Pass, Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University where he studied Biochemistry and Biophysics. He graduated medical school from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in Lebanon, Oregon. Prior to medical school, Dr. Rodgers worked as a medical scribe for two years, and as a Direct service professional for Partnerships in Community Living, an organization dedicated to providing support and advocacy for people living with developmental disabilities. He is passionate about patient education and preventative healthcare. In his free time, Dr. Rodgers enjoys cooking with loved ones, camping, and playing volleyball.

Jonathan Wallace, MD

Dr. Jonathan Wallace was raised on a farm near Eugene, Oregon, and stayed in the Pacific Norwest for medical school, graduating from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in 2023. Dr. Wallace is passionate about rural full-spectrum family medicine, especially evidence-based lifestyle and preventative medicine. His passion for medicine is only matched by his love for pugs and motorcycles. When he's not zooming through hospital corridors, he can be found zooming on his Suzuki motorcycle, and he has ridden from the arctic tundra to the deserts of Baja, Mexico.  He is incredibly excited to be blessed with the opportunity to practice medicine in his home of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. In his free time, he enjoys taking walks with his wife and their two pugs in different neighborhoods around Vancouver.

Matthew Coleman

Dr. Coleman was born and raised in Happy Valley, Oregon. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington and went on to become a research assistant at the Oregon National Primate Research Center before attending medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Coleman is passionate about full spectrum family medicine, with a special interest in sports medicine. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Coleman can be found enjoying the beautiful nature of the Pacific Northwest through hiking, weightlifting in his meticulously crafted home gym, or spending quality time with his friends and family.

Theresa D’Ettorre, MD

Dr. D'Ettorre grew up in the heartland of rural Ohio. She holds a BA in Medical Anthropology and Evolutionary Biology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and is a proud AmeriCorps alumna. Dr. D’Ettorre then studied in the urban primary care pathway with a BS from Cleveland State University and received her MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. D’Ettorre’s passion for equitable healthcare access across the whole lifespan led her to the full spectrum training of the beautiful PNW. Beyond medicine, she finds solace and joy in outdoor pursuits such as cycling, camping, and gardening, as well as supporting arts in the community!

Mary Hayes, DO

Dr. Mary Hayes was born and raised in Eagle, Idaho and received a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology from University of Idaho. She moved to the beautiful PNW for medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW. She has special interests in women’s health and obstetrics along with full spectrum family medicine including procedures. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, skiing in the winter, and spending summer days on the lake wake-surfing.

Dr. Islam was originally from Brooklyn, New York, but raised in Alpharetta, Georgia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Georgia State University and attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Islam is passionate about full-spectrum family and preventative medicine, with particular interest in lifestyle medicine and primary-care sports medicine. In his free time, he loves traveling the world, playing soccer, singing, performing music, and being an active member of his community. Dr. Islam is excited to be a part of the community of Vancouver, WA, and the Pacific Northwest. In his own words, “I believe home is where the heart is, and I hope to share that with my new community.”

Taryn Kawashima, DO

Dr. Kawashima was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She studied biochemistry at the University of Oregon and went to medical school at Western University in Southern California. She loves the variety in family medicine with particular interests in mental health, addiction medicine, women’s health, and procedures. In her free time, you will find her at the beach, hiking, camping, snowboarding, or trying a bunch of new hobbies with family/friends and her dog, Kangaroo.

Dr. Martwick grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. He attended medical school at Oregon Health & Science University and is thrilled to continue his career at home in the Pacific Northwest. His professional interests include preventative care, full spectrum family medicine, addiction medicine, and HIV care. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, lifting, board games, playing music, and spending time with his wife, friends, and family.

Dr. Ohlde is from Monroe Washington and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from the University of Washington - Bothell. She then completed medical school at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific - Northwest in Oregon. She is passionate about full spectrum family medicine with a focus on holistic, patient-centered preventative care and procedures. She enjoys time with family and friends, travel, hiking, reading, and involvement in her local church. 

Amanda Ritter, DO

Dr. Ritter grew up along US coastlines in a Navy family and completed high school in Newbury Park, CA. In 2014, she obtained her BS in Biology from West Texas A&M University. For six years, she worked in the fields of biotechnology, special education, and delivery management. In 2024, she graduated from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she volunteered frequently for public health initiatives. She is excited to train in full-spectrum family medicine and has interests in lifestyle medicine, working with under-served patients and public health. In her spare time, she enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities with her husband, reading and entertaining her cats and dogs.
