Volunteer at Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend

Sacred Heart Medical Center volunteers provide the exceptional care and understanding inherent in the mission and values of PeaceHealth.

Our volunteers are special people who choose to give their time, talents and energy to improve the lives of others. These dedicated individuals are a vital piece of the health care we provide to our patients and community. While giving comfort and compassion, volunteers benefit from the knowledge that they help others each and every day. We are grateful to our volunteers for the talents and experience they bring to our patients and their families.

PeaceHealth Oregon West Network (PHOWN) Volunteer Services is a highly structured program, with over 750 active, dedicated volunteers who donate over 70,000 hours per year.

Volunteers assist in nearly every area of the medical center and are often the first face you see when you enter the hospital.

With the variety of volunteer opportunities available at PeaceHealth, you are sure to find a program that best suits you. Please let us assist you as you explore our programs and decide which best fits with your skills, interests, and hours of availability.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. In addition, all volunteers attend volunteer orientation, undergo a health assessment through employee health and purchase a volunteer vest or shirt.

All volunteers commit to a weekly four-hour shift for a period of at least six months.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please email RSPHO-Volunteers@peacehealth.org
