Adult Volunteers

Employed or retired adults are invited to apply to volunteer in our adult volunteer program. Volunteers commit to a weekly four-hour shift for a period of at least six months. For information about how to become involved, call us:

College Student Volunteers

College students who are pursuing a health care career and are currently enrolled in a college-level program are invited to apply to volunteer in our Nursing Unit Volunteer Program. Volunteers are assigned to nursing units to assist staff in a variety of ways that support patient care. Application/orientation occurs at the beginning of each school term. Volunteers commit to a weekly two-hour shift for a period of at least two school terms. For more information about how to become involved, contact Jill Day or call (541) 222-2203.

Teen Volunteers

High school students age 18 and over are invited to apply to volunteer in our Teen Volunteer Program. We offer both school year and summer placements. Volunteers commit to a weekly two-hour shift for at least 6 months. For information about how to become involved, contact Jill Day or call (541)-222-2203.

Pet Assisted Therapy

Volunteers visit PeaceHealth facilities with their certified Pet Therapy Dogs. Dog and handler must be certified and recommended by either Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs, Inc. Acceptance and orientation as a PeaceHealth volunteer are also required. For information about how to become involved, contact Jill Day or call (541)-222-2203.

 

Musicians

Our Sounds for Healing Program consists of volunteer pianists or other acoustic musicians who provide environmental music to hospital visitors. An audition is required before volunteer acceptance/orientation. For information about how to become involved, call Spiritual Care (541) 222-2245.

Hospice/Home Health

Volunteers provide Office, In-Home Respite, Life Passage, Bereavement and Rose Courier Patient Support. Volunteers receive comprehensive training. If you would like to learn more about these Volunteer Opportunities, contact Cathy Ho or call (458) 205-7443.
