Mended Hearts

Encouragement, Hope for Recovery, and a Full Life

The Cardiovascular Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center is pleased to bring recovery support for heart patients and their families through a partnership with Mended Hearts.

For more than 60 years, Mended Hearts, a community-based non-profit organization, has been dedicated to their mission of “Inspiring hope and improving the quality of life for heart patients and their families through ongoing peer-to-peer support.”

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center is proud to have been named the 2018 Mended Hearts National Hospital of the Year. Each year, this award is granted to just one hospital among the 460 hospitals with Mended Hearts chapters across North America. This recognition can only be earned once.

Mended Hearts offers patients and their families the gift of hope through:

  • In person visits from volunteers
  • Support group and educational meetings
  • Telephone support
  • Support from volunteers, who have been through a heart event themselves, offers patients and families encouragement, compassion, education and hope.

If you or someone you know is a heart patient who would like to visit with one of Mended Hearts’ accredited visitors and begin sharing something in common, please contact us by our local chapter message line 360-788-6928. The members of local Chapter 382 welcome your call.
