Volunteering with Palliative Care

Hospice volunteers are special, compassionate and sensitive individuals from all walks of life who are committed to serving the terminally ill and their families.

The Hospice interdisciplinary team consists of a medical director, nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides and trained volunteers. You can become part of the team! Hospice provides intensive training and education twice a year.

If you have good listening and communication skills, are flexible, possess a nonjudgmental attitude, have a willingness to serve, and have not had a significant personal loss within the past year, you are invited to attend an orientation, with no obligation.

To become a Hospice volunteer, download the PeaceHealth volunteer application (pdf). Send it along with the Hospice Volunteer Questionnaire (pdf) to:

Victoria Spear
Volunteer Coordinator
1121 Fairfield Ave.
Eugene, OR 97402

After we have received your application, you will be notified of the next orientation and then contacted for an interview.
