The following guidelines will help you estimate the number of calories you need per day to achieve or maintain a healthy body weight.
Determine a recommended weight for you by using this guideline:
|Women:||100 pounds for the first five feet of your height, plus five pounds for each additional inch|
|Men:||106 lbs for the first five feet of your height, plus six pounds for each additional inch|
If you would like to lose weight, use your desired or recommended weight for the following calculations. If you wish to maintain your weight, use your current weight.
