Adult Bereavement Support Groups
After someone close to you dies, you go through a process of mourning. Grief is the visible sign of that mourning. It can include a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms. Grief is vital in order to accept a deep loss and carry on with your life. Working through your grief can be a painful process, but it makes all the difference to your future emotional and physical well-being. Many people find they heal from grief best when they have others with whom they can share their feelings and experiences.
Hospice of Sacred Heart offers weekly and series support groups for any adult grieving the recent death of a loved one. Both daytime and evening meetings are available.
A specific group for grieving parents who have had a child die within the past five years is offered on Mondays at noon.
These groups are offered free of charge.
