Properly installed car seat can reduce a child's risk of death in a motor vehicle collision by as much as 71-percent.
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart wants to make sure that every infant and child leaving our hospital is leaving as safely as possible. That's why we created the Safe Rides for Safe Kids program.
The Safe Rides for Safe Kids program will provide seven-day-a-week access to certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST). These CPSTs will offer free car seat checks to all babies born at RiverBend, as well as infants and children being discharged from our units.
Car and booster seats will also be given to families who have broken or recalled car seats, or when they don't have the right kind of car seat needed.
