More than 120 nurses are donating their annual employee appreciation gifts to FOOD for Lane County. The nurses will present a check to FOOD for Lane County at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 22, in Conference Room 200 EB at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. The estimated amount of the donation is $1,200.

Each year, PeaceHealth gives employees in every department a $10 cash equivalent gift that the department may use however it wishes to reward staff. This year, both the Float Pool and IV Services Teams at Sacred Heart Medical Center voted to donate the money to FOOD for Lane County, to show their appreciation for the community service the agency provides to those in need.

The Float Pool is a group of approximately 110 staff nurses and certified nursing assistants who work at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield and at the hospital’s University District campus in Eugene. The IV Services team is comprised of 12 highly skilled nurses who work primarily at the RiverBend campus meeting the complex infusion access needs of our patients.
