Living in Portland Metro, Oregon

The Portland-Metro area (pop. approximately 2 million) is home base for some of the PeaceHealth caregivers who work in the nearby communities of Vancouver, WA (just across the Columbia River from Portland, OR) and Longview, WA (less than an hour north of Portland). There is plenty to do and see in the “City of Roses.” In addition to plentiful in-city activities, a 90-minute drive takes you to the stunning Oregon coast or in the other direction to Mt. Hood for spectacular skiing. Portland rates on many “Best of” lists, including Money magazine “Top 10 Best Places to Live,” Travel + Leisure “No. 1 One Urban Destination for Summer Travel” and Runner’s World “America’s Best Running Town.”
