Women's Health: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Care for Women at Every Life Stage

Doctors who provide medical care for women are obstetricians-gynecologists (OB/Gyn). Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) also dedicate their professional practice to the care of women.

Once you've crossed from girlhood to womanhood, it's a good idea to have a women's health provider to help you with health matters that only women have, such as periods, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause.

These specialists may be best known for taking care of mothers-to-be (and their unborn babies) during pregnancy, childbirth and after the baby comes. OB/Gyns and midwives also diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases or conditions of the female reproductive system. Cesarean births and gynecological surgeries are typically performed by an OB/Gyn.

Our providers encourage consistant preventative health care through annual exams. This way they can help you prevent problems (or catch them early) through regular screenings, timely education, and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
