PeaceHealth Summer Enrichment Internship Program

Program overview

The Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is a 10-week, paid internship for first year graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in health care administration. PeaceHealth leaders serve as preceptors, providing mentorship and early-career connections. PeaceHealth is planning to recruit 10 interns for the Summer of 2022. The interns are currently planned to take place in Vancouver, WA, during the months of June - August each year. More information to come. In addition to exposure to various PeaceHealth departments and key stakeholders, SEP interns will gain valuable experience conducting a special project that supports the business needs of the organization. Interns will present the outcomes of their project to leaders across the organization at the end of their program.

PeaceHealth is committed to providing opportunities for underrepresented minorities (Asian American, Black, Latinx, Native American/American Indian and Pacific Islander) in healthcare leadership roles. We encourage applicants from these underrepresented groups to apply. Our program seeks to enrich and diversify PeaceHealth across its networks by hiring innovative, mission-driven professionals who are invested in health equity and social justice.

PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, WA, is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. Our core values of respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice define how we provide service. We strive to promote workplace relationships that are healing, trusting and accountable, and to give people a voice in matters affecting their work. We champion for our caregivers’ health and dignity and are dedicated to their personal and professional growth.

The Summer Enrichment Program is sponsored by The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) through The Institute for Diversity and Health Equity (IFDHE). They work closely with health care organizations to advance health equity for all and to expand leadership opportunities for ethnic minorities in health management.
