Recipe: Baked Sweet Potato Wedges

Soon to be your new go-to potato recipe
Don't let pumpkin hog the spotlight. Sweet potatoes and yams are also fall favorites that are too good to be reserved just for the holidays. This recipe is quick and easy to make. Choose your own blend of spices to give it the punch of flavor you like.
6 servings
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 4 large orange sweet potatoes or garnet yams (about 1.5 pounds). Scrub and remove eyes. Cut lengthwise into ¾ inch wedges.

- 1 teaspoon garlic salt (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder/granules and ½ teaspoon salt)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine spices and sugar in a large bowl. Lightly spray large sheet pan or two smaller sheet pans with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Spray potato wedges with cooking spray (for approximately four seconds) and toss together with spices and sugar in bowl.
Place potatoes in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn over and bake an additional 20 minutes or until tender and crispy.
