We know that getting the COVID-19 vaccine is on many people’s minds, and there are a lot of questions about who qualifies to get the vaccine, and when and how to schedule an appointment to get vaccinated.

We’re working hard to stay abreast of an ever-changing situation so we can be of help to you. Here are answers to some of the latest frequently asked vaccine questions.

Balancing vaccine eligibility with vaccine availability

The number of vaccines PeaceHealth receives on an ongoing basis is dictated by the federal government, and it varies by state and community. This means PeaceHealth may not have enough vaccines available in the short term for everyone who is eligible. We know there is incredible interest in getting the vaccine, and we are committed to vaccinating as many people as possible. We continue to work with health officials at every level to try to get more vaccines and will make them available as we are able.

Who is currently eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in my state?

Vaccines will be given in accordance with state and federal guidelines as they become available. Learn more about the latest eligibility guidelines:

When can I get my COVID-19 vaccine if I’m vaccine-eligible?

If you are in a vaccine-eligible group, visit PeaceHealth’s COVID-19 vaccine resource center where you can check your eligibility to get vaccinated. Here you can visit your state-specific vaccine page to see if and where vaccines are currently available and how appointments are scheduled:

We also encourage you to regularly check your state health websites for other options and opportunities for getting the vaccine.

If I’m a PeaceHealth patient, will I be notified if I’m eligible to schedule an appointment to get vaccinated?

PeaceHealth patients will be notified when medical or age-related information in your electronic health record indicates you are eligible. If you haven’t done so already, now is a good time to set up your My PeaceHealth account and make sure all your contact information is up to date, so you can make appointments. You can also sign up to receive updates on vaccine availability at PeaceHealth via email.
