Emergency Department
Sexual Assault Survivor Fund
When victims of sexual assault come to the emergency room, oftentimes their clothing is taken away as evidence. As aresult, patients leave the hospital in medical scrubs, sweats, or inadequate donated clothing. As care providers, we knowthat these patients are particularly vulnerable after experiencing such trauma. We also know that even the smallest effortsto preserve their dignity, show respect, and provide support is invaluably beneficial to start the healing process. Fundswill be used to create two closets at the RiverBend and University District campuses with adequate clothing, non-medicaltoiletries, and daily supplies.

Palliative Care

Palliative care specialists, chaplains, and social workers provide a long-term continuum of care for patients living withchronic health conditions. Support for this fund will provide for more care at home by caregivers; prevent unnecessaryadmissions; and empower families to be able to manage care at home -- where loved ones are most comfortable.
