Run for your life!
Want to help your child or grandchild build empathy and social awareness? Kids Running for Kids is a fun way for them to increase compassion and build stamina.
On April 7, kids and adults of all ages will participate in the 5K run/walk on the paved and bark-chip course in Alton Baker Park in Eugene. There’s also a free 1K Fun Run. All proceeds from the event will go to Children’s Miracle Network at Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation.
School-aged runners and adult joggers who help to raise money for pediatric patients at Sacred Heart Medical Center will also benefit from a big boost in self-esteem.
Most parents and grandparents look for opportunities to train their kids to be successful in sports, relationships and education. Now, here’s a chance for another type of early training as they donate their time and energy to help sick kids. So pass the word, and share this empathy opportunity with your kids and their cousins and their classmates.
