About Our CME Program

St. Joseph Medical Center is committed to providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities that support our community physicians and health care professionals in promoting personal and community health. Our primary audience includes medical staff, community physicians and clinicians. Our secondary audience includes Northwest Network medical staff and community physicians in Southeast Alaska, San Juan, Skagit and Island counties, and health professionals working cooperatively with physicians to improve personal and community health.

Our CME program is designed to improve physician competence and performance, and patient outcomes, as well as personal and population health in our Northwest communities by:

  • Assessing and meeting the educational needs of our target audience
  • Promoting communication and collaboration among physicians, both within and across specialties
  • Providing timely, relevant, accessible, and inspiring activities that bridge the gap between emerging medical advances and clinical practice
  • Promoting physician wellness and strategies for coping with changes in the health care environment
