Therese M. Horan CNM

,

We welcomed Therese Horan, MSN, ARNP, CNM to the PeaceHealth Medical Group OB-GYN team of providers in 2020. Therese is no stranger to the Bellingham community and comes to PeaceHealth from Bellingham Obstetrics and Gynecology (BOGA) after practicing there as a family nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife since 2016. Though Therese’s background is in family practice and obstetrical/gynecological care, she has a special interest in adolescent health. She has had the privilege to provide OB-GYN care in a variety of unique environments and brings a unique perspective, cultural sensitivity and willingness to think outside of the box from these diverse experiences. “Working with women during adolescence, pregnancy and the post-partum period has allowed me to be with women at crucial times of transition. These unique life events can be empowering experiences, which then strengthen the patient, their family and their communities. It is a great honor to be a part of my patients’ lives,” she said. Therese is originally from Sitka, Alaska. She is a tribal member of the Sitka tribe of Alaska, as well as the Tlingit and Haida tribes. “I passionately believe in partnering with women throughout all stages of their lifetime to achieve their goals in health in a culturally sensitive way," she said. Outside of the clinic, Therese enjoys spending time with her family (including her three spirited daughters), trail running, hiking, playing music and volunteering in the Bellingham Public Schools.
