Seyedali Hejazi MD

We welcomed, Ali Hejazi, MD to the PeaceHealth Medical Group Neurology team of providers in 2020. He will be practicing in both the Bellingham and Sedro-Woolley communities. Dr. Hejazi comes to PeaceHealth from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Los Angeles, California, where he recently completed an Adult Epilepsy Fellowship. As a neurologist, Dr. Hejazi manages the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases of the nervous system. He has special interest in neurophysiologic studies (electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction studies), management of drug-resistant epilepsy and surgical evaluation of epilepsy along with headache management and neurovascular diseases. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Hejazi has contributed to the clinical study of neurology. He has participated in research, authored publications and presented findings at annual meetings of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society and the American Headache Society. Of special interest is his work on novel therapy for glioblastomas; mechanisms underlying drug-resistant epilepsy and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures; electrophysiology of migraine aura; and short and long-term efficacy of Botox in chronic migraines. His professional memberships are numerous. “I believe that we, as doctors, must be there for our patients, their families, our community and our colleagues. Outside of clinical practice – in companionship with his wife – Dr. Hejazi enjoys traveling, participating in outdoor activities, watching movies and cooking. He is fluent in Farsi.
