Biography
Sara Rowland, MD, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Obstetric Hospitalists team of providers in 2016. Dr. Rowland reports that obstetrics is her specialty because she is inspired by the miracle of birth and new life. She can’t imagine anything more fulfilling than sharing in this experience with her patients.
Dr. Rowland came to PeaceHealth from Mount Vernon Women’s Clinic in nearby Mount Vernon, Washington. In addition to providing infertility treatment and gynecologic care and surgery, she supported women preparing for the entry into parenthood-- including high risk pregnancies, C-sections and vaginal births after caesareans. She also served as OB/Gyn Section Chair at Skagit Valley Hospital from 2009 to 2014.
When she isn’t working with patients, Dr. Rowland enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two daughters. Her hobbies include reading, photography, skiing, gardening, and playing the violin and piano.
