Robert Benowicz, MD, joined the Bellingham PeaceHealth team in April 2017. He serves children and families as both a pediatrician at the Cordata clinic and as a pediatric hospitalist at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
Dr. Benowicz’s medical career began in 2007 as a general medical officer with the Marines. He has practiced pediatric medicine since 2011. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Benowicz served as a pediatric hospitalist at Randall Children’s/Good Samaritan in Corvallis, Oregon, and at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
Dr. Benowicz’s medical interests include neonatal critical care and pediatric sports injury and prevention. He is also actively involved in medical education.
In his spare time, Dr. Benowicz enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, backcountry skiing, hiking, camping and kayaking. His hobbies include woodworking and home brewing. He and his wife, Tanya, have two beautiful rescue dogs, Meka and Lola.
