Dr. Mohiedean "Mohi" Ghofrani provides pathology services at PeaceHealth. He completed his medical training in Tehran before beginning an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency and fellowship in Cytopathology at Yale University. In addition, Dr. Ghofrani also completed a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on healthcare at George Washington University. He is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical Informatics. Dr. Ghofrani intended to become a surgeon, but in medical school, while working on a research project on the effect of upper abdominal surgery on liver function tests, as part of my dissertation to obtain my medical degree, he worked closely with the clinical laboratory and the pathologist. His positive experience persuaded him to change course and become a pathologist. His philosophy of care is to treat every case as if it were for his parent, spouse, or child. Dr. Ghofrani derives satisfaction from creating things, whether they are tangible structures or computer programs. In the early years when hospitals were working to change from paper records to electronic records, Dr. Ghofrani led the design and implementation of a hospital information systems in two different hospitals.
