Jerald J. Block MD

Dr. Block is board certified in adult psychiatry. He obtained his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and his residency at the New York State Psychiatric Institute in New York, NY. “I aim to reduce my patients’ distress while also giving them the space for self-understanding and growth” shares Dr. Block. His areas of focus include personality disorders, depression and psychosis. He has published research on compulsive computer use and school shootings. In addition to outpatient psychiatry, Dr. Block’s career includes serving in the U.S. Army, including three combat deployments where he managed psychiatric evaluations and provided ongoing psychiatric care. Away from work, Dr. Block’s hobbies include board games and magic.
