We welcomed Jennifer Scanlon, MD, to the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Childbirth Center team of providers in 2019.
Dr. Scanlon is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest, as she has provided care as an Obstetrics and Gynecological (OB/GYN) physician in Washington for ten years. She previously practiced at Swedish OB/GYN Specialists in Issaquah, as well as Women’s and Family Health Specialists in Renton.
Dr. Scanlon has a vast amount of experience in low and high-risk obstetrics, adolescent care, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, office procedures, contraceptive counseling and evidence-based care. She is particularly interested in risk-based maternity care. She previously had the honor of being the obstetric consultant for a medium-sized midwife group. She enjoys collaborating with other members of the obstetrical care team, including midwives and family practice physicians, to best utilize their resources and skills to provide the highest quality maternity care. She looks forward to strengthening these existing relationships both in the hospital and the community.
“I believe that all people should receive outstanding, evidence-based care, and I relish this opportunity to use my experience and training to provide this diverse community of women with the safest high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care that it deserves," she said.
Dr. Scanlon recently relocated from France, where she spent the last year traveling and honing her culinary skills. She enjoys hiking the trails and spending time on the water of our beautiful corner of the world.
