Jazmín Yépez Kuri, MD, sees patients at the PeaceHealth’s Center for Senior Health in Bellingham. She received her medical degree from the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She completed both her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in geriatrics at Texas Tech University at Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. Before joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Yépez Kuri practiced at an outpatient clinic in Eastern Washington for five years.

Jazmín’s medical interests include dementia, frailty and polypharmacy and she is particularly interested in expanding access to medical care tailored to the needs of older adults. About her choice to specialize in geriatric medicine, she says, “I take a holistic approach to the ailments of patients, so they can achieve a high quality of life as they age.”

When she’s not working, Jazmín enjoys time with her family, gardening, hiking or reading. She also speaks Spanish fluently.
